But you don’t often get to see the other side, which is why we decided to catch up with two of our clients to hear what they have to say about their dining experiences – restaurant reviews, if you will.

Moyo Blouberg

What an evening!

It was a First Date with a fine, fine lady. I am very happy to admit – she’s at least three levels out of my league.

So, I phoned GetMore and laid my problem out. Not only did the nice lady tell me where to get flowers and what to wear, but she also made a booking for us at Moyo Blouberg.

We rocked up there, and man, did GetMore came through?! We had a great table – we sat on a surfboard with our feet dangling in the water. Best of all, we had this perfect view of Table Mountain and the sun setting over the ocean. That’s right; we saw both.

We ordered our drinks, two delicious mojitos, and starters – Fried mopane worms and Crocodile tail pies. We shared. Boom! But the food was amazing too.

For dinner, I had the Klein Karoo venison potjie with samp, and she had the Chicken and date tagine with couscous. It actually came in little iron pots. The meat was tender, and the flavours were mind-blowing. It was soo (double o intended) good.

We sat there the whole night, talking about life, getting to know each other. She thinks I’m funny.

As the moon and the stars came out, we couldn’t eat any more, but felt that if the starters and mains were this good, then dessert must be something special. So, we ordered the Crustless star anise and naartjie zest milk tart to share. Sorry Ouma, but it was the best milk tart I’ve had in my life. We ended the night off with two perfect Cappuccinos.

Good vibes, good views (other than my lady), and good food – it’s a great place! We’ll definitely return for our 50th wedding anniversary. Hey, a guy can dream.

El Toro

For my best friend’s bday, I asked GetMore to book a table at El Toro as we had a Mexican theme. It was amazing! We got there, and there was a frozen margarita in a jar waiting for each of us. The food was amazing, the waiters so fun and the drinks – Best. Ever. We stayed until closing and partied like we were 22 again. There are some selfies that will NOT be making it to FB.

I WILL be back.
